Polygraph (lie detector) tests are absolutely safe for health! However, there are a number of diseases in which a polygraph test is not performed, and is even contraindicated. These include: severe pathologies of the cardiovascular system, mental disorders, psychiatric diseases. That is why, before each check, a pre-test conversation is held with the respondent, during which controversial points are determined.
On average, the duration of the test is 1.5 – 2.5 hours.
There is only one reliable way to deceive not a polygraph but a polygraph examiner – this is not to start a polygraph examination. An experienced polygraph examiner will not be misled by any of the methods recommended to you – neither the use of pharmacological drugs before the test, nor physical counteraction.
No special preparation for the polygraph examination is required. However, there are prohibitions before undergoing testing: On the eve of the examination, it is forbidden to use tranquilizers, psychotropic, sedatives, colds, strong painkillers, narcotic substances, alcohol and any other substances that change the human condition. Before testing, do not drink coffee, pu-erh tea, kratom tea, energy drinks, do not do power loads and any other actions that tire the body
Before passing the polygraph test, the respondent must voluntarily consent to conduct a polygraph examination by signing an appropriate application. Also, by signing the application, the respondent certifies the voluntary consent to transfer all materials and results of the study to the customer of the study. Without appropriate permission, a polygraph examiner does not have the right to transfer the results of the examination even to the customer. Subject to the granting of permission, the results of the study are provided exclusively to the customer.
